General Massive Systems is the "galactic standard" in product manufacturing, controlled by Union.[1]

From everyday consumer needs such as food and clothing, to specialized military assets like mechs, GMS is regarded as the baseline for quality in products. The corporation is so widespread, its presence fades into the background in most worlds.[2]

GMS gear, weapons, systems and frames are available to all pilots starting at LL0.

History

GMS began as an independent supplier located on Ras Shamra at the height of the First Expansion Period, making it the oldest corporation in the galaxy. It began manufacturing its first mechs in 4500u. This lead to the production of their most prominent mech pattern, the GMS-SP1, unofficially (and then later officially) known as the Everest.

As GMS grew, the corporation was quickly nationalized by Union, backed by massive amounts of wealth, with the intention to standardize quality for products of every kind. Testing put emphasis on standard compatibility to compensate for time dilation, and reliability as the colonization period continued. Over the next five centuries GMS cemented itself as one of Union's most important forms of soft power, continually raising the baseline of quality for other manufacturers.

GMS's headquarters is currently located on Cradle, with several other offices located throughout the galaxy.[3]
