The Ten

The Ten were a set of ten massive colony ships designed to transport human populations to distant terrestrial worlds in a attempt to insure the survival of humanity in response to the fall of Cradle. These ships were O’Neill cylinders[1], where cylinders would rotate inside the ship and create an artificial gravity on their inner surface where the colonists lived. The ships slowly made their way to preidentified earth-like planets. Even with the time dilation inside the ten, many generations lived and died inside the ships in the thousands of real-time years it took to reach their destinations. [2]
