Metavault

A metafold vault, or metavault, is a realspace access point to metafolded blinkspace. It contains a space affected by paracausality that does not follow standard laws of physics or causality. Metavaults are rumored to link to Horus and Voladores,[1] however there is no evidence that either one created or actively use them.[2]

List of Metavaults

XOLOTL

Metavault XOLOTL was the first metavault discovered. During an expedition conducted by UIB team UIB-Gorgon, it collapsed in on itself, disappearing with its contents and the UIB team inside. Much of the Goblin's system code was confirmed to match heiroglyphic inscriptions on planet LRA.7726235-B by UIB-Gorgon transmissions from within the metavault prior to their disappearance.[3]

EHECATL

Metavault EHECATL was located inside a comet, found by an Albatross flight before blinkspace had been discovered around 3120u-3200u. It was then shortly redirected into a nearby star.

DHIYED

Metvault DHIYED is an inoperable metavault. It was however designated as "stable" by the UIB team investigating it. Following the expedition, Smith-Shimano Corpro's Exotic Materials Group utilized paracode derived from DHIYED in several electronic systems, most notably used in SCC's Dusk Wing,[4] and later it's Mourning Cloak.[5] The Gorgon's BASILISK liturgicode has also been found to originate from DHIYED.[6]

DHIYED fragment tablet 1.3

Described in the Mourning Cloak's Fold Knife description.

>//[Am I alone here?]
>//[[No. There is only an absence of you. It is very busy here, but you cannot see it]]

DHIYED tablet 10

The following tablet entry is often attributed to MONIST-1.[7]

Can we trust the poor clockmaker? That giant from our sun
who crafts a movement that
can quiet all this light.
Now,
set the orrery in motion
over the sphere of the world –
let’s all stop a moment,
hush, and worry at what comes next
